  Promotional Tote Bags: An effective an useful marketing tool.

Of all of the promotional items a business has to choose from, promotional tote bags are probably the most useful to the greatest number of people. Everyone ? man, woman, child ? needs a sturdy bag at some time or another and they will use a bag with your logo on it. Putting your brand name on a tote bag gives you maximum exposure to a huge number of people, much like a miniature walking billboard. If your tote bags are sold in a large city, then every person who is using one to carry their groceries, there books, their lap top, or whatever else they need to will be showing off your brand name and logo.

Let me give you an example. I have a laptop that I used to carry around in an expensive laptop bag. A couple of years ago I got a promotional bag at an event. It was rectangular, simple and orange. I haven't used my expensive laptop bag since. I carry this bag everywhere - to work, to coffee shops, to airports and on planes. This bag comes with me almost everywhere.

Now imagine how many people besides me have seen the promotional logo on this bag. I do not have a number but I can tell you it is a lot of people. The company that gave me that bag certainly got its money worth by investing in that bag; as I and hundreds of others are walking around giving them free advertising.

Promotional bags give you the added luxury of more space as well. While any branding strategy has to be well planned and a poorly designed logo will not help a business no matter what it is placed on, a bag gives you the chance to use a larger version of your logo. Make your logo stand out, maybe using bright colors, or a unique design to catch the eye of people walking by the bag. This will ensure the brand will be noticed by the most people possible.

Promotional bags are also a practical choice as they will last longer than many other promotional items and therefore be more cost effective in the long run. Many businesses make the mistake of cutting corners by going with a cheaper, smaller item but they often end up spending more money in the future and still do not achieve the brand recognition they were hoping for. Too many times do toy footballs, paperweights, and other promotional items end up in the trash.

Bags are useful for many different purposes and by men and women alike, and a bag will last a very long time if the quality is decent. What this translates to for you as a business is not only the possibility of short term advertising for a campaign, but also the ability to have your brand being seen by consumers on a long term basis. People use a tote bag because of the fact that they do not need to replace it often. Take advantage of this with your tote bag marketing campaign.
